In memory of two young teens

Mackenzie Lauren

The Mackenzie and Lauren Wiese Scholarship Fund has been created in memorial of the tragic loss of their lives on August 17, 2012. Their dreams were to go to college. Mackenzie wanted to go the the University of Texas to become a Registered Nurse and Lauren wanted to go to Texas A&M University to become a Veterinarian or join a similar trade where she could help animals or other people. Due to the tragic premature snuffing out of their candles, in their absence, the scholarship fund has been create to assist other students in going to college in remembrance of Mackenzie and Lauren.

Mackenzie Elizabeth Wiese 16

Born on Feb. 5, 1996, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 17 2012

Mackenzie attended Rice High School. She would have been a junior and was part of the Class of 2014. She was in the Rice High School Band and Color Guard and played the flute. She had plans to enter the medical field after graduation. Her desire was to have a career where she could help people. She leaves behind many who will mourn for her but find joy and comfort in all the memories she left behind. She was known as “Kenzie” to her family and friends. She loved hunting, running track, powerlifting, and just hanging out with her friends. Kenzie took the responsibility of big sister very seriously; she loved her family, and she loved the Lord, as evidenced by her faith and the many scriptures found throughout her bedroom.

Lauren Nicole Wiese 15

Born on July 11, 1997, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 17 2012

Lauren attended Rice High School. She would have been a sophomore and was part of the Class of 2015. She was also a member of the Rice High School Band and played the bass clarinet. Lauren had a huge soft spot for animals and planned to become a veterinarian or teacher after she graduated. She was known as “Lulu” to her family and friends. She loved everything outdoors including hunting and fishing. She loved animals, art, music and writing. Lauren’s love for the Lord was evidenced by her happy disposition and the personal gifts of love she always enjoyed giving to those she cared about; making memories was very important to her.
